Today's APOD story is (again) one you don't want to miss.

... and bringing fond memories of hiking around in Yosemite some (ouch that long) 13 years ago. Hey, that's only 6 more years to go back and take those moon pictures I forgot about then!

Hey, with all those camera's out there recently, there could be enough high quality shoots to assemble us a Glacier Point landscape-skin for Stellarium :-)

Expect some (more) silence over here starting next monday for the next 3weeks, and then be ready to browse some pics :-)

As common in this family preparations have been minimal. Basically

• we have some vague idea about where we'ld like to get going: some 8-shape itinerary around the dots Havana, Pinar Del Rio, Viñales, Varadero, Trinidad, Havana.
• we happily assume that getting around with the bus will be easy and fun
• we're equiped with a decent map and a bunch of travel guides of which most will be read on the plane (we're not proud about that, but have learnt from previous experiences it's in our nature to not let this spoil the fun)
• we've arranged a habitacion for the first two nights in Havana
• we've noticed already that a crash course Spanish will become handy. (I wonder how close a slow spoken mix of english and french is going to be sounding)
• we're quite open to any decent suggestions you (and hopefully some other travelers we'll meet) might want to share
• ... looking forward to some quality time with the family in a setting with a different set of priorities

Along my path to learn a name for (only) one of my mild disfunctions, I discover the existence of Tara Reid. No less!
