Mark, Please take a look at the trouble spots pointed out by SteveL. Are you claiming that all the troubles with say "timezones in xsd:dateTime" mentioned by Steve will just vanish off the face of the earth if you use use just REST/HTTP/XML?

Answering my own question I got too annoyed....So here's the greasemonkey script (Download file) that hides the chat bubble in GMail.

I have all of Mihai's goodies for GMail. I just found that i need one more thing. Need something to get rid of the annoying GMail Chat bubble that cropped up today...anyone whipped one up yet?
