Jeff,
This is awesome news!!! If you want to do this at Apache, just let us know.
Standard Caveats are as follows:
- Apache Software Foundation is not a host like SourceForge. Unlike a Sourceforge project, or a multivendor standards initative under the banner of one of the collaborative (and corporate member based) standards bodies, any project within the ASF is not under the 'banner'of the ASF, it becomes a part of the ASF. It is no longer the vendor's, or original contributor's.
- Apache Software Foundation is "individual-oriented" and not "vendor/company oriented". Everyone gets involved based on their individual merit.
- Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
