Arrived in Australia!

After 26 hours of flying and airports, transfers and the like from Boston, I finally arrived in Adelaide, Australia, yesterday at 10am local time!

It's great to be back home with the folks and family. This morning I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping in the background with a beautiful bright sunny day, 20+ degrees warm, ahead of me. Not bad for winter :)

Today, I'm driving with my Dad down to the town where I was born, Mount Gambier, on my way to Melbourne to meet up with my work colleagues for our first trip within the country up to Queensland.

The drive will be around 4 hours, which will take us along the Coorong national park (a long windy drive along the rugged South Australian coastline through salt lakes, swamplands, bushlands, and beaches, etc.

We'll arrive in Mount Gambier sometime this afternoon, and then on monday we'll drive to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road, a popular route which takes you through many coastal towns incluing Angelsea, Lorne and Torquay, up to Geelong and finally into Melbourne.

Lots of fun times ahead, looking forward to it all!
