Mt Dandenong Forrests

Today we spent the afternoon in the Dandenong Ranges, 30kms east of Melbourne. It was quite a nice day for Winter, perhaps 17 degrees, hardly any wind and clear blue skies. I was particularly amazed how close the Dandenongs were to get to from the city.

There's some beautiful forrests and landscapes in the Dandenongs, we were there for only a few hours and went to the 'Sky High' lookout just outside of Olinda in the middle of the ranges. From there you could see the city on the horizon, and also the ocean and bay curving around to to the east which was great.

There's plenty more to explore so I'm sure we'll be back there again in the near future :)
