Taken just as the sun was setting over Vignogn, Lumnezia, Switzerland, while skiing inbetween Christmas and New Years with my Dad, Kristin and some friends of ours.
The weather in Vignogn was outstanding, clear blue skies every day, and lovely powder snow just waiting to be raced down each morning.
The ski lifts run from a town called Vella, which is a few villages away from Vignogn, and provides access to all kinds of runs all over the Obersaxen mountains, down both sides and up to several peaks above 3000m.
We spent as much time as we could skiing (Dad was snowboarding and mountain walking), and just taking in the breathtaking views into the valleys with peaks raised high into the skies on either sides.
The photo above was taken while on a mountain walk between Vignogn and Vella, when the sun was just about to disappear down the other side of the mountain for the night.
