Last week I built up a Forrest package for Debian, and uploaded it to the incoming queue. Yesterday it was accepted in to the primary archive!
At the moment it's in Sid (ie. unstable), after 10 days it will flow down into Sarge (testing), for the next Debian release. :)
Nice! Thank you!
And now the obligatory question: does it build & work with free runtimes in unstable (kaffe, gcj, sablevm, jamvm, ...) ?

Hi There,
It's currently built with a j2sdk from Sun. Jikes will probably be able to build it, but I'm unsure if any of the free runtimes will be able to execute it at this stage.
Hence why it's in contrib, rather than main.
As each dependent library becomes packaged we'll be in a better position to test and determine it's use with the free runtimes.
Cheers,
Marcus
